Scheduling & Preparation

Our events can be scheduled through our website (magicmirroryork.co.uk), or directly by contacting us via phone or e-mail.

Please note that if you are hosting your event at a third-party venue, you will be required to notify them of any space and timing requirements needed for us to operate our equipment on the premises. Failure to organise this with the venue, meaning we cannot provide the service safely, will result in the session being cancelled without a refund.

Set-up time for our services means that we will need to be at the event location an hour prior to the booking start time and also an hour after your session time to disassemble and package the equipment so this will need to be noted to any third-party venue. This time is included in the initial payment.

Any disruptions caused to the set-up of our equipment by yourself or the venue, which causes a delay to the start of the booking could affect the amount of time you have to use the product as your booking time will not be extended due to third-party disruptions.

Cancellation and Refunds

At ‘Magic Mirror York’ we understand that there may be a need to cancel your booking with us. You are able to cancel 14 days prior to your event free of charge. However, if a cancellation is made within 14 days ‘Magic Mirror York’ reserves the right to only provide up to a 50% refund due to any potential lost business and prerequisites.

If we were to cancel your booking you will receive a full refund with no charge to yourself and we aim to provide you with at least 72 hours' notice.

A refund can take up to 14 working days (usually this is within 3-5 working days).

Payments

Payments must be paid in full, via the online booking service or through an emailed invoice. Failure to provide full payment for any reason will result in the cancellation of your booking.

Damage to Equipment

‘Magic Mirror York’ is fully aware of the wear and tear that may occur during use of the equipment, this may include slight scratches and scuffs and minor damage to props within reason. However, excessive damage e.g., major dents, scratches, cracked screens on any touch screens and any other large forms of damage to our equipment will incur a fee of up to £200.

Please note we understand that props such as inflatables, fake glasses and other props provided are fragile and so we do not charge per item, however, if there is an excessive amount of prop damage this will incur a small charge of up to £15.

Respecting Our Staff

Our friendly staff are there to enhance your experience. Verbal or physical abuse will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Our staff therefore reserves the right to end your session prematurely and you will not receive a refund. Future bookings with our business will not be possible if there are any cases of abuse towards our staff.

We understand events are likely to include the consumption of alcohol, however if someone is heavily intoxicated and/or behaving in an unsafe manner at the event they may be refused access to the equipment. This decision is left to the staff members' sole discretion at the time. This is to prevent damage to our equipment, harm to staff members or anyone else attending the event.

Privacy

At ‘Magic Mirror York’ we take privacy very seriously. Due to the photographic nature of our business, we understand the importance of keeping all customer data and photos or videos secure at all times. ‘Magic Mirror York’ uses secure-cloud storage provided by Microsoft OneDrive and Apple iCloud to backup all contents of media and is only accessed by ‘Magic Mirror York’ staff.
